No hoarding

Matthew 6:19-21
"Don't hoard treasure down here where it gets eaten by moths and corroded by rust or—worse!—stolen by burglars. Stockpile treasure in heaven, where it's safe from moth and rust and burglars. It's obvious, isn't it? The place where your treasure is, is the place you will most want to be, and end up being.

God is definately teaching my family how to live on less and to be content with what we have. A lot has changed over the last year and a half with the economy and we sure feel it. But, on the other hand, God fills in the gaps and we are taken care of. We don't go out to eat all the time like we used to but we're OK with that, too. I wish now that we had saved up for a rainy day like God says to do. It would have been easier on us!
God says to 'stockpile treasure in heaven'. Tithe, offerings, and doing good for others, these are the things that we can invest in heaven and know that our investment is safe in god's economy.
