Spirit Driven Life!

1 Corinthians 14:1
[ Prayer Language ] Go after a life of love as if your life depended on it—because it does. Give yourselves to the gifts God gives you. Most of all, try to proclaim his truth. If you praise him in the private language of tongues, God understands you but no one else does, for you are sharing intimacies just between you and him. But when you proclaim his truth in everyday speech, you're letting others in on the truth so that they can grow and be strong and experience his presence with you.

Oh how I crave the presence of God. If you do not know Him this way, go after the gifts of the Spirit. Surrender all of you to Him and let Him use your mouth. Praying in tongues has changed my life and my walk with God. Obedience in this area of submission has helped me to submit my whole life over to His will. It opened me up to hear from His Spirit. Joy, Joy, Joy!

18-19
I'm grateful to God for the gift of praying in tongues that he gives us for praising him, which leads to wonderful intimacies we enjoy with him.

Celebrate!

Philippians 4:4
Celebrate God all day, every day. I mean, revel in him! Make it as clear as you can to all you meet that you're on their side, working with them and not against them. Help them see that the Master is about to arrive. He could show up any minute!

Today we are celebrating the life of my 4 year old. We will have decorations, food, cake, songs, games, prizes, and joy will abound.
I want to celebrate God, all day every day, with that same feeling of joy and excitement. I bet it would rub off onto others, overflow into their lives if I started my day celebrating God in my heart.
To me this verse says: Love on people, let them know you care. So many people feel like no one cares. As moms our lives are busy and it's easy to get hyper focused on our imediate family's needs. Sometimes my family doesn't even feel loved by me. If we are just doing, not caring, we can act like the people, we care about the most, are just "in the way". Stop worrying about getting the job done and watch the way you are getting it done.

Eph 1:11-12

Eph 1:11-12
It's in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in
everything and everyone.

You were created with a design and a purpose. Everyone and everything is a part of the overall plan. If you look at what you want for your life (and for your kids), the way to get there is to make your choices and decisions based on that end result. Live your life on purpose. Be the example that you want your children to follow.

Matthew 5:13
"Let me tell you why you are here. You're here to be salt-seasoning that brings out the God-flavors of this earth. If you lose your saltiness, how will people taste godliness? You've lost your usefulness and will end up in the garbage.
14-16"Here's another way to put it: You're here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We're going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don't think I'm going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I'm putting you on a light stand. Now that I've put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you'll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.

Be salty! Be light! I love this. Don't be afraid to stand out and be different. Don't just go along with the crowd. When God asks you to do something, it's usually outside of your comfort zone. Sometimes the truth is salty, not sweet. Convicting, not comforting. But at the same time be light, be hope, be love.
God corrects the ones He loves. Don't be offended if someone needs to correct you. Hopefully they do it in love, but even if they don't, just receive it, change the thing you're doing and count yourself loved by God.

Great Plans

Jeremiah 1:5
This is what God said:
"Before I shaped you in the womb,
I knew all about you.
Before you saw the light of day,
I had holy plans for you:
A prophet to the nations—
that's what I had in mind for you."

Never underestimate your life! It comes with a plan. Stay on track, put God first. Get in the Word, let it saturate your life. It's not a coincidence when you are at the right place at the right time. God has holy plans for you.
If your like me, sometimes you may feel too insignificant to have a great plan. All of God's plans are great.
Submit your life to His plan!

Jesus did it!

Isaiah 63:9
So he became their Savior.
In all their troubles,
he was troubled, too.
He didn't send someone else to help them.
He did it himself, in person.
Out of his own love and pity
he redeemed them.
He rescued them and carried them along
for a long, long time.

Praise God, Jesus did it Himself. He became the sacrifice for us. He didn't send someone else or ask us to be a sacrifice. He rescued and redeemed us, in person. He was the perfect sacrifice, the pure and holy one, without blemish. The only One who could wipe away our sin forever by His blood, that was shed for us.
Thank you Lord for your love and pity, thank you for your blood. I plead the blood of Jesus over my family and our relatives. I pray that Your precious Holy Spirit goes out and follows them until they receive Jesus as Their Lord and Savior, Amen.
